History and Founding:
Glacier National Park was established in the year of 1910. After years of people pushing for a national park, Glacier was finally adopted as the country's tenth when President Taft signed the bill to designate it as one. Since this time people have enjoyed Glacier's mountain ranges, clear waters, and amazing glaciers. However, use of land in Glacier National Park has dated all the way back to 10,000 years ago when several different Indian tribes inhabited the area. Eventually, European explorers began to settle in the area, followed by miners and settlers. People began to view the land seeing all the scenic beauty that it holds. Finally, it was rewarded as a national park.
